Melissa C. Rodriguez is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 15 years of experience in mental health care, nursing education, and patient advocacy. She is passionate about delivering patient-focused, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults across diverse clinical settings.
Melissa currently provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management. She has previously worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including UT Health Houston, Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands, and Houston Behavioral Hospital, where she collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive mental health treatment.
Melissa holds a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Educator) from The University of Texas–Pan American, and both a BSN and ASN in Nursing. She is board-certified by the ANCC and licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Melissa is committed to breaking barriers in mental health care and empowering patients and families through education, treatment, and compassionate support. She is also an active member of the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses of Texas.
